The Rev. Courtney Smith Westerlund, Pastor
Pastor Courtney (she/her) graduated from United Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia + Gettysburg, PA, with a Master of Divinity in May 2021. She is an ordained ELCA Rostered Minister was called to serve as pastor of Messiah in August 2021. She grew up in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, received her B.S. in Family and Human Services, Nonprofit Management from Towson University, and served as an ELCA Young Adult in Global Mission in South Africa. Pastor Courtney lives in Oakland with her spouse, Rev. Jonathan Westerlund, their child, and her many plants.
